The D-Link DMC-810SSC is a Gigabit copper-to-fibre media converter for connecting 1000BASE-T Ethernet equipment to a compatible singlemode optical network. One 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 port connects to the copper side, while its 1000BASE-LX SC optical interface supports a singlemode fibre connection up to 10 kilometres under suitable optical-link conditions. D-Link specifies a 1310nm fibre wavelength and Auto MDI/MDIX functionality on the Ethernet interface. The converter can be installed as a standalone unit or used with a compatible DMC-1014 media-converter chassis, enabling rack-based conversion deployments. It is different from the discontinued DMC-700SC multimode SC model: fibre type, optical wavelength and supported reach are not interchangeable.
